Exact match to my custom supports

Have been looking for a close match to my custom (and expensive) inserts,

have tried a few from orthofeet and protalus. The newer M-100s were

a perfect match (arch support position & height). Will order a second pair.

My Protalus

Still breaking them in. Got them right before I went on Xmas break. First day back to work today. A little rough, top tendon in both big toes painful. Hoping that goes away after breaking them in.

Hi Jeff!

Thanks for sharing your experience. We have some recommendations that may help you in the process of wearing your new insoles. :)

  • There can be an adjustment period for your body to adjust to proper alignment. It may take your body a couple weeks to adjust to the new alignment. Customers who have worn our insoles for at least 30 days have achieved the best results.

  • Improved alignment will change and may distribute new forces to your muscles, soft tissues, joints and tendons. When possible, we recommend wearing the insoles for 1-2 hours the first day, 2-3 hours the second day, and 3-4 hours the third day while continuing to increase wear by 1-2 hour increments until a full day is reached.

  • Make sure to remove the factory insole from your shoes before inserting your Protalus insoles. Our insoles need to lay flat in the shoes to work correctly.

  • Try them in different shoes. Sometimes shoes can significantly affect the performance of our insoles.

  • Tie and re-tie your shoes throughout the day. Hot spots can happen because your foot is moving out of sync with your shoe. Tying and re-tying your shoes unite your feet, shoes and our insoles, so they can move as one.

  • Lastly, we recommend the stretches listed at https://www.protalus.com/pages/stretches if possible. This especially helps in the process of alignment so that your body adjusts properly.

No more Planter Fasciitis

I'm 57 years old and have been a runner for about 35 years. No real problems until recently developed planter fasciitis, that was extremely painful. I did a whole lot of research and ordered a pair of the M-100's, which have taken all my pain away. Wonderful product. My only complaint is that the insoles themselves are quite "heavy" and I can definitely feel a difference in the weight of my running shoe versus the weight of my shoe with just a stock insole. Nothing major, but I do enjoy as light of a shoe as possible.
